In light of the special circumstances surrounding the Arab nation’s central issue, Arab foreign ministers agreed to postpone discussions on other items related to joint Arab action.
They agreed to dedicate this session exclusively to reviewing the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Middle East region in general, along with exploring ways to bolster Arab backing for Palestinian brothers.
The deliberations culminated in adopting a resolution related to the Palestinian situation, especially the ongoing genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and its spread to the West Bank, in addition to the multifaceted Zionist escalation in the region.
It included practical steps for joint Arab action before international judicial bodies, such as the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice, as well as at the United Nations General Assembly level.
The resolution also applauded Algeria's efforts as a non-permanent Arab member of the UN Security Council, especially its ongoing endeavors to end the aggression on the Gaza Strip, secure a lasting ceasefire, and advocate for Palestine’s full UN membership.
Arab countries also expressed gratitude to Algeria for its sustained financial and political support for the Palestinian cause, notably its substantial contributions to the Palestinian state’s budget.
