NEW YORK (UNITED NATIONS)-Through its Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, Algeria called on Sunday in New York to rebuild trust between the United Nations (UN) and the peoples of the world, particularly colonized and oppressed peoples, urging to stop the genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at the 10th Interactive Dialogue on “enhancing multilateralism for international peace and security,” held under the “Summit of the Future,” Attaf said, “Algeria calls to rebuild trust between our international organizations and the peoples of the world, primarily colonized and oppressed peoples who see the United Nations as the ultimate refuge against injustice and tyranny, and regard this organization as a beacon of hope in times of tragedy and suffering, and as a servant that renders them justice and protects their rights.”[/ecr]
