The Arab countries participating in the 149th IPU Assembly decided on Tuesday, in Geneva, to respond to Algeria's call and leave, in an almost collective manner, the room hosting the proceedings when the representative of the Zionist entity took the floor, in order to show how isolated this criminal entity is within the international community.

The Algerian delegation left the room as soon as the representative of the Zionist entity took the floor, in response to Algeria's call to Arab countries participating in these proceedings. The call was issued by Brahim Boughali, who had previously chaired the extraordinary Congress of the AIPU, in his capacity as president of this Union.

It’s worth noting that the 37th Extraordinary Congress of the AIPU was concluded with a final press release comprising nine points focusing mainly on condemning the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian territories and Lebanon, exerting effective pressure on Israel to comply with relevant international resolutions, in addition to supporting international efforts in favour of the Palestinian cause and mobilizing support to include the emergency clause on the agenda of the 149th IPU Assembly.
