In an opening address of the meeting, Culture Minister of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), Moussa Selma, expressed, in the presence of foreign delegations in solidarity with the Sahrawi people, his wish to see this seminar "constitute a link between thought, culture and dialogue in the service of the oppressed peoples’ causes, including the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples".

“The Sahrawi State has adopted, through these seminars, this approach which has continued with the support of the solidary parties, coming from different and distant lands, their fruitful participation and their support to the fighting Sahrawi people and to the oppressed peoples," the minister stressed.

The president of Peace Bridges association, Youcef Mecheria, affirmed to APS that the organization of this seminar, in the current regional context, encourages "to deliver a strong message, from Algeria and free men in the world, to affirm that rights are uninfringeable and that the cause of the Sahrawi people is just and that Western Sahara is the last colony of Africa".

This seminar, to be held until Thursday, was marked by the participation of delegations from Algeria, United States of America, Austria, Germany, France and Kenya, said the source.
