DOHA - The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas and the Zionist entity reached on Wednesday an agreement for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to a brutal Zionist aggression, as well as the release of hostages and prisoners, according to several media reports.

[ecr] A ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the release of hostages were achieved following a meeting by Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani with Hamas negotiators and, separately, with negotiators from the Zionist entity, according to media outlets citing "sources close to the negotiations."

According to the same sources, a prisoner exchange is expected to take place between the two parties.

The Zionist aggression against Gaza has resulted in 46,707 martyrs and 110,265 wounded, according to Palestinian authorities. [/ecr]
