The Upper House member and Vice-President of the Arab Parliament, Fouad Sebbouta, as well as the Council of the Nation and Arab Parliament member, Abdelkrim Korichi, participated in this session under the theme “The reconstruction of Gaza is a duty, and the displacement of its population is a crime,” which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League, just before the third general session of the first session of the fourth legislature of the Arab Parliament, according to the same source.

The extraordinary session, chaired by Mohamed Ben Ahmed Al-Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, aimed to “reaffirm the Arab rejection of attempts to manipulate the rights of the Palestinian people, refusal of displacement plans, and support for reconstruction efforts, in accordance with the recommendations of the seventh conference of the Arab Parliament and the Presidents of Arab Parliaments in their Arab parliamentary text,” said the press release.

During their interventions, the representatives of the Council of the Nation in the Arab Parliament reaffirmed “Algeria’s unwavering and unconditional position toward the just Palestinian cause, as well as its full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle against the Zionist occupation, until the establishment of their independent State with El-Quds as its capital.”

They also expressed their “categorical rejection of any displacement of the Palestinian population from their lands and any attempt to dilute their cause through exclusionary and racist solutions.”

In this respect, Sebbouta emphasized that “the difficult situation the Palestinian cause is going through requires Palestinians, in order to face it, to stick to national unity, which the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has always called for.”
