The celebrations, held under the theme "Oath and Loyalty to National Sovereignty," were attended by the Sahrawi Prime Minister, Bouchraya Hammoudi Bayoun, as well as members of the SADR government and officials from the Polisario Front.

The festivities featured an impressive parade performed by various components of Sahrawi society, showcasing, through displays animated by different sectors and educational institutions, the facets of the 49-year journey of the Sahrawi state in building Sahrawi institutions and society.

Drawing a large audience from different Sahrawi settlements, whether in refugee camps or in regions under Moroccan occupation, this anniversary of the SADR proclamation was marked by official speeches delivered by representatives of foreign delegations in solidarity with the Sahrawi people and present at this event, which was preceded, two days earlier, by the organization of the 25th edition of the Sahara Marathon.

The festivities will continue with the inauguration of an exhibition of activities reflecting the know-how of Sahrawi citizens.  [/ecr]
