UN Secretary-General urges “immediate” return of humanitarian aid to Gaza

UNITED NATIONS (United States) — UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday called for the “immediate” return of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, following the Zionist entity's announcement that it was suspending aid deliveries to the besieged Palestinian territory.

Antonio Guterres “calls for an immediate return of humanitarian aid to Gaza” and for all prisoners to be released and “urges all parties to make every effort to prevent a return to hostilities in Gaza,” his spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said in a statement.

The UN humanitarian coordination official also expressed “concern” on Sunday about the suspension of all humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip by the Zionist entity, which is contrary to international law.

In this regard, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates warned Sunday about the dangers of the Zionist occupation army's decision to prevent humanitarian aid from entering the Gaza Strip, and its catastrophic consequences in light of the worsening suffering of Palestinians, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
