Rain, sometimes stormy, on country's east from Thursday

ALGIERS- Rain, sometimes in the form of stormy showers and hail events, will affect several provinces in the country's east from Tuesday, the National Meteorological Service said in a Special Weather Statement.

The provinces concerned by the weather report, with an orange level alert, are Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El-Tarf, Souk Ahras, Guelma, Oum El-Bouaghi, Constantine, Mila, Setif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Batna and Khenchela, the statement said.

It added that the expected rainfall amounts between 30mm and 50mm, but may reach or exceed 60mm, especially in the coastal provinces.

The special weather statement will be in effect from Thursday (15:00) to Friday (6:00).
