Chlef: First group of Algerian children living abroad arrives at Ténès summer camp

CHLEF - The first group, made up of 171 children from the Algerian community living abroad, arrived on Sunday at the Ténès summer camp (Chlef).

The group was received at the Aboubaker Belkaïd airport in Chlef by Minister for Youth and Sport, Abderrahmane Hammad, Minister for National Solidarity, the Family and the Status of Women, Kaoutar Krikou, President of the Higher Council for Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, and the Wali of Chlef, Atallah Moulati.

The delegation then headed straight to the summer camp in Ténès.

In a statement to the press on this occasion, Hammad said that this action, which was part of the programme of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed to "build links between the children of this nation."

The operation concerned 900 children of members of the Algerian community living abroad, he added.

"Today we welcomed the first group comprising 171 boys and girls. Other groups will arrive gradually in several provinces, bringing the total to 900 children," he said.

For her part, Krikou said that this operation was part of "strengthening the bonds of solidarity and fraternity between the children of the Algerian people and promoting mutual support." [/ECR]
