President of the Republic, Mauritanian counterpart co-chair inauguration of two fixed border posts in Tindouf

TINDOUF- President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, co-chaired on Thursday afternoon in Tindouf, with his brother, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the inauguration of two fixed border crossings between Algeria and Mauritania.

Before the inauguration ceremony began, the two Presidents listened to a detailed presentation on the activities of these two border crossings and on the project to build the road linking Tindouf (Algeria) and Zouerate (Mauritania).

The Algerian border post has all the necessary facilities and should create an economic dynamic between the two countries, thus boosting development in the border regions.

The inauguration of these two border posts is part of the visit by the President of the Republic to the province of Tindouf, where he and his brother, the President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, have laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several important and strategic joint projects in this border area.
