Rebiga called on the members of national community abroad to "strengthen their ties with the mother country and get involved in the process of strengthening state institutions and the development of the country's economy."

The Algerian diaspora worldwide, according to him, should "contribute to the construction of the country and the preservation of its unity and stability in the face of the current challenges."

Concerning the conference's theme, Rebiga said the commemoration of the operation of 25 August 1958, marking the transfer of the Algerian Revolution for national liberation to the enemy's strongholds in France, was a "demonstration of our deep-seated faith and our commitment to honour the martyrs of those historic operations."

He added that the operations were "carried out by the Algerian people in exile, as all the children of Algeria, both at home and abroad, share the same pain and the same hope."
