Chairing a regional seminar on the investment organized jointly by AAPI and the province of Constantine, in the presence of the governors of Skikda, Mila, Jijel and Oum El-Bouaghi and the project holders of these provinces, Rekkache said that “these jobs will be generated by 8,950 investment projects registered from November 2022 to 22 August 2024.”

The total declared value of these investments amounts to DZD3,997 billion, he said, adding that  this figure excludes major projects under special agreements, such as the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital and the partnership with the Italian BF group. Additionally, hundreds of projects currently pending registration with the AAPI are not included in this total.

According to the official, all indicators point towards a positive outlook for achieving the government's goals. These objectives include establishing a new economic model, accelerating and expanding the gross domestic product, and generating 450,000 direct jobs in the medium term.

As regards foreign investments, AAPPI’s director general underlined the effective registration of 165 investment projects, including 61 direct foreign investments and 104 others in partnership with local operators.
