“Tourism officials and industry partners must work to increase media exposure for desert tourism to boost tourism in the Southern regions of the country,” Didouche said during his working visit to the region.
While highlighting the abundant tourism potential of this newly-established province that could ensure the success of the 2024/2025 Saharan tourism season, the minister emphasized the importance of providing artisans with the necessary support to participate in various international events and exhibitions to showcase Algeria's rich craft heritage.
“Tassili N'Ajjer, a true jewel, houses a rich craft heritage that we must preserve,” said Didouche, who then called for artisan training programs to ensure this legacy continues, while supporting local craft associations in the province.
