CONSTANTINE - The province of Constantine has amassed over 400 tons of medical supplies and food aid destined for the Palestinian people in Gaza, as part of Algeria's humanitarian assistance efforts for Palestinians.

A convoy carrying these humanitarian supplies departed Thursday from the province toward Blida's Food Aid Collection Center, from where it will be forwarded to our Palestinian brothers.

The convoy, comprising 27 large trucks, is the result of a joint initiative between local authorities, the Algerian Red Crescent (ARC), charity organizations and business operators, with widespread community support.

In a press statement on the occasion, Constantine's governor Abdelkhalek Sayouda described the convoy as a “show of solidarity with our brothers in the Gaza Strip to ease their suffering in the face of crimes perpetrated by the Zionist occupier.”
