The meeting was held on Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters in the presence of its executives and the CEO of the GICA Group.
It is part of implementing the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at restarting investment projects recovered through judicial decisions as part of the fight against corruption.
During this meeting, the minister listened to a comprehensive presentation from the Algerian and Chinese parties on the current state of the project, outlining the key challenges and obstacles hindering its revival, according to the statement.
In this respect, Ghrieb gave instructions to speed up the establishment of the joint company responsible for managing the project, while also developing a detailed report outlining the stakeholders and the measures to be taken to relaunch the project as soon as possible.
He further instructed the launch of the necessary technical studies, exploring the possibility of shifting toward the production of green cement to enhance the competitiveness of the Algerian product and its access to international markets, along with boosting export volumes, according to the same source.
