On this occasion, the President of the association, Smail Debeche said that this operation “is part of the association’s yearly reforestation campaigns.”

The planting of these shrubs, which symbolizes “the friendship and historical relations between Algeria and China,” is intended to “preserve the environment” and to “bring man closer to nature,” he continued.

The operation is also in line with “the association’s program, which provides for reforestation operations and several other activities such as scientific forums, cultural events and tourist visits,” he pointed out.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador to Algeria, Li Jian underscored “the importance of this operation,” noting that “it mirrors the depth of the bilateral friendship and relations, and contributes to the preservation of the environment.”
