This session will enable shedding light on “the Algerian State’s endeavors in women protection and their economic, political and social empowerment,” said the source.

 

Krikou will take part in the inter-ministerial round table under the theme “the good practices to strengthen the institutions and ensure financing for the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls,” and will make an address in which she will shed light on “Algeria’s employment policy based on equity and equal opportunity in access to employment.

 

The minister will also participate, on the sidelines of this session, in “another event organized in collaboration with the UN Office of the Special Adviser on Africa, in cooperation with the UN Development Programme on Algeria, under the theme “The social achievements-the Algerian experience as a model.”

 

Krikou will participate in the Security Council’s sessions on the theme “Women, security and peace.”
