President of HCI to participate in International Islamic Forum in Russia

ALGIERS — The President of the High Islamic Council (HCI), Bouabdallah Ghlamallah, will take part on September 20-21 in Moscow, Russia, in the 20th session of the International Islamic Forum, the HCI said in a statement on Wednesday.

During this Forum, themed “The path of peace and dialogue, the foundation of mutual coexistence,” the Council President will deliver a speech discussing “the civilizational concept of peace developed by Algerian scholars, passed down through generations over centuries, and embodied by the glorious revolution, advocating the common human values of dialogue and peace between civilizations and coexistence between communities in a secure and stable environment,” the same source said.

The President of the HCI will provide “several testimonies and examples of peace and dialogue values, highlighting the historical positions of Emir Abdelkader and the achievements of the glorious Liberation War and the Algerian people throughout the different historical periods.”

The president of the Council will also participate in the 8th meeting of the Religious Administration of Muslims of Russia. He will explore “the depth of historical relations between Algeria and Russia, and the ways to bolster them between the HCI and the religious institutions of the Russian Federation.”
