Djamaa El-Djazair’s rector on working visit to Sultanate of Oman

ALGIERS-The Rector of Djamaa El-Djazair, Sheikh Mohamed Maamoun Al Kacimi Al Hoceini, is paying Wednesday a working visit to the Sultanate of Oman, at the invitation of the Omani Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Mohammed Bin Khalfan Al Mamari, the Rectorate of Djamaa El-Djazair said in a press release.

This visit, which is part of the “fraternal and cooperative relations between Algeria and Oman,” aims to “examine the means to strengthen these relations between the religious and scientific institutions of Djamaa El-Djazair and their counterparts in the Sultanate of Oman,” said the press release.

During this visit, “the Rector of Djamaa El-Djazair will meet the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Hamad al-Khalili, and several senior officials, and will hold talks with representatives of bodies responsible for scientific research and cultural heritage.”

The visit will be an opportunity to “strengthen the relations of religious, scientific and cultural exchanges, the outlines of which were defined by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during his recent visit to the Sultanate of Oman,” concluded the press release.[/ecr]
