Algerian Red Crescent : Over 300 tons of humanitarian aid for Gaza inhabitants

CONSTANTINE- The Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) has collected more than 300 tons of humanitarian aid to be delivered to the Palestinian population in Gaza, said on Wednesday the organization’s Chairwoman, Ibtissem Hamlaoui.

[ecr] Hamlaoui emphasized, in a statement to the press on the sidelines of a working visit to Constantine, that the warehouses of the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) contain more than 300 tons of in-kind aid, such as food supplies, blankets, medical equipment, clothing, and tents intended for the residents of Gaza.

This initiative is part of the national solidarity campaign in favor of the Palestinians in Gaza, launched by the CRA, which collects only in-kind aid, she added.

She further recalled Algeria's support for the Palestinian cause and its solidarity with the population of Gaza, who are suffering the consequences of the Zionist aggression.

The CRA plans to deliver this aid "directly to its beneficiaries" if a "safe air bridge" to the Gaza Strip is opened, she added.

Additionally, a partnership and cooperation agreement was signed between the Algerian Red Crescent, represented by its president, Ibtissem Hamlaoui, and the Waha Association for Cancer Patients in Constantine, represented by its president, Ahmed Zemouli, with the aim of strengthening joint efforts to support patients and provide them with the necessary assistance.
