Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam extends thanks to President Tebboune, Algerian people

ALGIERS — The Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Akrama Sabri, sent on Wednesday a warm message of thanks to the Algerian people, through which he conveyed his appreciation to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for his principled and resolute stance on the Palestinian cause.

In his message, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, who is visiting Algeria at the invitation of the High Islamic Council (HCI), expressed his “deep gratitude to Algeria—a brotherly country treasured by every Palestinian.”

He commended the heartfelt reception he received, noting that it mirrored “the values of solidarity and brotherhood between the Algerian and Palestinian peoples.”

The Al-Aqsa Imam particularly expressed his gratitude and consideration to the President of the Republic, applauding “his honorable and decisive positions regarding Palestine and Al-Quds.”

He also hailed “the pioneering role of the High Islamic Council, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Wakfs, Jamaa al-Jazair and Algerian Islamic scholars in advancing the interests of the Islamic Ummah and in supporting just causes worldwide.”
