ALGIERS — The National Moon Sighting Committee, which met Saturday evening at Dar El-Imam, in Algiers, announced that Eid El-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan (the month of fasting from dawn to sunset), would be celebrated on Monday in Algeria, as the crescent moon marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal was not sighted.
