Comedian Mohamed Hazim passes away 

ORAN-The comedian Mohamed Hazim, one of the members of "Bila Houdoud" (Without Borders) troupe, died Wednesday at Doctor Amir Mohamed Benaissa Regional Military University Hospital in Oran, at the age of 70 years, following a long illness, announced the provincial Director of Culture and Arts, Salhi Bouchra.

The deceased was one of the artistic figures appreciated by the Algerian public for his comic sketches within the famous troupe "Bila houdoud", along with Mustapha and Hamid, broadcast after the Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan in the 90s. The trio was successful nationwide.

Mohamed Hazim began his artistic career with the troupe "Theatre of Workers of Oran" (TTO), under the cultural association "Amel" in the early 80s. He played several roles in plays such as "El-Fougaa.” 

The deceased also played in several comedy films produced by private cooperatives in Oran.

Upon learning of his illness, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune gave instructions to treat Mohamed Hazim at Oran’s regional military university hospital. 

The deceased will be buried Thursday at the cemetery of Ain Beida, his family said.[/ecr]
