Hosted in Ibn Zeydoun movie theatre, the Cuban Film Week is one of the events marking the 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, established on 17 October 1962.
Attending the projection, Cuba's ambassador in Algeria, Armando Vergara Bueno, said diplomatic relations between Algeria and Cuba, established 60 years ago, will be celebrated through a programme of cultural activities that includes screening of films.
He added that "relations between his country and Algeria are historical and are ties of friendship and solidarity," recalling the State visits to Algeria made by former Cuban President Fidel Castro, who passed away in 2016, and the revolutionary leader Che Guevara.
