The movie city, to be built near the Opera of Algiers, will have various areas and facilities dedicated to film and audiovisual production, with studios reaching 2000 m², the general manager of the National Centre of Film Industry, Faysal Saudi Mabrouk, told APS.

According to the source, the film city will also have workshops for the creation of sets, digital imaging labs, post-production, as well as areas for TV production to be made available to Algerian and foreign TV channels under trade agreements.

It will also include an accommodation facility for film industry professionals.

The project will be a space for work and creation for the film industry professionals, and is expected to "attract foreign film makers and contribute to the creation of jobs" in line with "the commitments of the president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the revival of film industry in Algeria," Faysal Saudi Mabrouk said.
