The signing of the decision on the granting of membership to a number of presidents of Arabic language academies (14 members) was carried out at the conference of the Arabic Language Academy, during a meeting under the chairmanship of the Governor of Sharjah, and President of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi.

On this occasion, the efforts made by the Arabic language academies in the Arab countries during the previous period in various fields were praised, notably the project to produce an Arabic language dictionary, in which the HCLA participated in a qualitative way.

“The membership of the Arabic Language Academy will allow a better opening of the HCLA in the Arab countries and improvement of the level of bilateral partnerships. It also strengthens the level of representation of Algeria,” said Belaid, affirming that the HCLA “will offer further development projects, applications, and intelligent translations.”

Regarding the partnership with the Academy of Sharjah, the same official said that the HCLA will continue “the joint realization of a dictionary of the Arabic language, the support of projects carried out by the HCLA for the benefit of the Arabic language and in addition to the support of the common position of the academies of the Arabic language at the annual sessions.”
