ALGIER- A total of 25 features, shorts and documentaries will compete in the 11th International Film Festival of Algiers early December (2-10), after a two-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event's organizers said.

Sixty films, 25 of them in the official competition, are to be screened in the 11th Algiers festival, to open with the feature-length film of Amer Fakhreddine, "the Stranger," a Palestinian, Syrian, German, Qatari coproduction.

The festival will wrap up with the projection of "The Last Queen of Algiers," a feature movie by Damien Ounouri and Adila Bendimered, the event's manager, Zahira Yahi, said at a press conference.
