[ecr]  Launched in February and will run until June, this project aims to reaffirm the importance of enriching the Sahrawi theatrical scene and to shed light on the cultural image of its struggle against the Moroccan colonizer, through its effective presence within the Sahrawi society and abroad.

Amongst other objectives of the project, the presentation of plays produced locally or abroad in order to contribute to the enrichment and development of the Sahrawi cultural heritage through the production of live performances as well as the promotion of the Sahrawi arts and culture.

It also aimed at creating a regulatory, artistic and professional referential framework likely to improve the conditions of the professional practice of arts among the Sahrawi people, to revive and develop the creative capacities of these artists by the organization of training sessions specialized in practical training and promote the Sahrawi theatrical experience on the international scene.

This project, which will be carried out in collaboration between the Sahrawi refugee camps, the regional theatre of Sidi Bel Abbes and Algerian National Theatre, comprises training session in arts and practical workshops supervised by academicians and theatre specialists.
