International Film Festival "Imedghassen": Screening of Bulgaria’s "Megdan between water and fire"

BATNA- The feature film "Megdan between water and fire" by Bulgarian filmmaker, Todor Chapkanov, was screened Tuesday at Aures film theatre, in Batna, as part of the 4th International Film Festival "Imedghassen,” held from 11 to 15 May.

The director, who is also the president of the jury of the 4th "Imedghassen" International Film Festival, stated that "this is the first screening of this film (preceding its premiere) before its theatrical release starting in early September."

 

This hour-and-a-half sports drama, attended by journalists, artists and guests of the event, tells the story of a water polo player who becomes a kickboxer in order to avenge his friend who was killed in the ring, while competing for the championship title that his deceased friend's opponent wants to claim.

 

The screening was followed by rich discussions about the film, whose filming took place in Serbia and Moldova, according to the director who spoke about the choice of fighters, the filming of ring scenes, and sound and lighting techniques.

 

"Megdan between water and fire" was well received by the audience.

 

Some of them considered themselves lucky to attend this first screening.
