As part of boosting bilateral cooperation, this 10-hectare cultural project represents China's second major gift to Algeria, following the Boualem-Bessaih Opera House in Algiers.

The “Palace of Culture and Entertainment” is a complex that will house several facilities including a large reading room, workshops, multimedia rooms, a cinema hall, a large hall with a capacity of 450 people and three exhibition halls, in addition to other facilities that will be built on the land adjacent to the project, such as a youth center, administrative offices, a nursery for children, technical rooms, handball and football fields, and an outdoor activity area.

An agreement has been concluded between the Ministry of Culture and Arts and the Chinese partner to use modern technologies in construction and techniques aimed at improving energy efficiency and facilitating access for people with specific needs.[/ecr]
