ALGIERS- Minister of Culture and Arts, Soraya Mouloudji, discussed on Wednesday in Algiers, with Qatari Minister of Culture, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, the means aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in the field of arts, according to a statement from the ministry.

[ecr] Attended by Qatari Ambassador to Algeria, Abdulaziz Ali Al-Naama, and members of the delegations from both countries, the meeting took place "on the sidelines of the Qatari Minister's participation in the inauguration of the 27th Algiers International Book Fair (SILA), where Qatar is participating as the guest of honor," the same source said. 

The discussions focused on "Algerian-Qatari cooperation in the field of culture and the arts, upcoming projects, and means to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various art forms," according to the source. 

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui chaired on Wednesday the official inauguration ceremony of the 27th SILA.

The event is being held at the Exhibition Palace (Pins Maritimes) from 6 to 16 November under the high patronage of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. [/ecr]
