Placed under the slogan “Yennayer...the authenticity of triumphant Algeria woven by the ksour of Gourara,” this cultural event (January 10-12) is organized by the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA).
Chaired by the Secretary General (SG) of the High Commission for Amazighity (HCA), Si El-Hachemi Assad, the ceremony took place in the presence of several personalities, including the President’s Advisor for Non-Governmental Organizations and Human Rights, Hamid Lounaouci, the president of the National Observatory of Civil Society (ONSC), Noureddine Benbraham, the president of the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption (HATPLC), Salima Mesrati, as well as representatives of various institutions, local authorities of the jury and a large audience.
The President of the Republic Prize for Amazigh literature and language includes four categories, namely linguistics, literature expressed in Amazigh and translated into Tamazight, research on intangible Amazigh cultural heritage, and technological and digital sciences.
The jury, chaired by Djamil Aïssani, announced the following results: in the linguistics category, the first prize was not awarded, while the second and third prizes were awarded respectively to candidates Naima Hamdi and Ilyes Farknis from the province of Bejaia.
As for the category of literature expressed in Amazigh and translated into Tamazight, the first prize went to Farhat Oumar Ouchabane, the second prize to Rachida Takourabet (Tizi-Ouzou), while the third prize was awarded to Houssam Haddad (Batna).
Regarding the category of research on intangible Amazigh cultural heritage, the first prize was awarded to Abdennasser Bezza (Batna), the second prize was not awarded and the third prize went to Mohamed Mouloud El-Ouas (Tamanrasset).
For the technological and digital sciences category, the first and third prizes were not awarded, while the second prize went to Abderrezak Belkharaz (Bejaia).
