Algeria-Italy: Willingness to further strengthen cultural cooperation

ALGIERS- Minister of Culture and Arts, Zouhir Ballalou, expressed on Wednesday, in Algiers, the willingness to “further strengthen bilateral relations and cultural cooperation between Algeria and Italy in the field of arts.”

Ballalou during the opening of an exhibition at the National Museum of Fine Arts, where many great works of Italian paintings will be presented. 

This exhibition "is the best example of cultural exchanges between the two countries," he said while stressing the need to foster this cooperation through "new momentum and genuine exchange in the field of cultural cooperation and diplomacy."

For his part, Italian Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli, said that the National Museum of Fine Arts in Algiers has "successfully highlighted the great Italian artistic heritage through this remarkable collection," displayed in the Square Hall of the Museum.

He further praised the fact that all these works have successfully been protected and preserved. [/ecr]
