“Huawei ICT Competition”: Algerian students win first global Prizes in “CLOUD,” “NETWORK” Track

ALGIERS- Algerian students won Saturday, in Shenzhen (China), the first global prize in “Cloud” and “Network” tracks and the second prize in “Computing” Track of the Huawei ICT Competition, announced the global provider of ICT equipment and infrastructures.

“The Algerian teams won the first global prize in Cloud and Network Track and the second prize in Computing Track during the international contest Huawei ICT competition,” he said in a statement.

 

According to Huawei, “the 15 Algerian students who competed for three days in the final competition, which took place from 23 to 26 May in China, were awarded this Saturday in Shenzhen in the prize awarding ceremony, in the presence of Huawei’s top officials and a delegation representing the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.”

 

The 15 Algerian students who qualified for the final tournament of the 7th Huawei ICT Competition won the first places  in Africa after winning the top 5 out of 28 countries and 50 teams.

 

This year’s competition was marked by the participation of 120,000 contestants from 74 countries and 2,000 universities.
