Algerian-Qatari-German hospital: Inking of Agreement to launch construction works

ALGIERS- An agreement was signed Thursday, in Algiers, for the launch of the constructions works of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital, with a capacity of 300 beds, which will enter into service in 2025.

This agreement was signed, on the Algerian side, by health and population director of Algiers province  Lahlali Lahlali and on the Qatari side by the head of "Estithmar" holding Mohamed Moatez El-Khayat, in the presence of Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi, the ministry’s executives, Qatar’s ambassador to Algiers Abdulaziz Ali Al Naama, CEO of "Estithmar" holding Mohamed Badr and of CEO of "Elegancia Healthcare" holding Joseph Hazel.

 

While presenting the project, Badr affirmed that it comes in implementation of the guidelines of the countries’ leaders, the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, “in order to strengthen the Algerian-Qatari relations and continue working for the development of the Health sector in Algeria, as part of the international expansion strategy of Estithmar holding.”

 

Fruit of a cooperation between the Algerian Ministry of Health and the Qatari holding, this project will be accompanied by a training institute for the medical staff, mirroring the two sides’ willingness to strengthen and develop this sector to the advantage of Algeria, he said.

 

He said that this hospital, equipped with modern equipment, “comprises 30 intensive care units, 15 operating rooms and 40 outpatient clinics, in addition to 20 areas devoted to emergencies, and bringing together high-level medical experts, cutting-edge technologies in terms of diagnosis and treatment in one place.”

 

The project will also “meet medical needs, notably in specialized medical services, such as complex heart diseases, liver surgery, neurosurgery and spinal deformities, as well as surgical oncology and chemotherapy.”
