Algerian, Mohamed Lamine Mehri, wins American Voice Arts Awards

ALGIERS - Algerian Mohamed Lamine Mehri has won the American Voice Arts Awards in the category of best Arabic voice commentator in advertising, in recognition of his outstanding work entitled "Teniri," according to the event's website.

This prize is awarded by the "Society of Sound Arts and Sciences in New York" (SOVAS), to honour American English-language creators in the field of sound and vocal performance in film, television, literature and other media.

This association, founded in 2013, also organises competitions to reward creators in the field of sound and vocal performance in Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese and Arabic.

In addition to Mehri, other Egyptian creators have won prizes in the Arabic language category.

Mehri has taken part in several competitions of this kind, and is renowned for his vocal performances in a number of television and radio productions. [/ecr]
