The number of fixed post offices reached 4245 at the beginning of the year 2024 against 3999 in early 2020, i.e. up by 246 offices, said the source, adding that the number of mobile post offices has doubled to reach 89 in the beginning of 2024 against 39 in early 2020.  

As regards the automated banking machines of Algerie Poste, their number increased from 1400 to 1993 during the same period, said the ministry, pointing out that self-service areas are currently 62 while they didn’t exist in the beginning of 2020.

The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications said that by the beginning of 2024, 12.5 million people have of Edahabia card, while this number didn’t exceed 6 million in 2020.

The number of financial transactions via Edahabia card has increased from 5 to 66 million during the same period.
