CAN 2023: Special plan to ensure supporters’ security wishing to go to Ivory Coast

ALGIERS- The Ministry of Health implemented a special health plan to ensure the movement of the national team’s supporters wishing to attend the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), scheduled from 13 January to 11 February in Ivory Coast, comprising measures aimed to ensure their health security, the ministry said Sunday in a statement.

The ministry reminds the citizens wishing to go to Ivory Coast of the measures taken for this purpose, aimed at ensuring the supporters’ security before, during and after their stay in the host country, notably “the compulsory vaccination against the yellow fever,” said the source.

Underlining that “the vaccination enables providing the necessary protection against this disease and that it must be done before leaving the country,” the minister said that “the people benefiting from the vaccination could obtain an international vaccination record.”

The ministry also recommended “a preventive treatment against paludism, which involves the taking of appropriate medicines before, during and after the stay in the host country of CAN,” underlining the specialized centers for the vaccination against the yellow fever and the preventive treatment against paludism.
