During a plenary session at the Council of the Nation (upper house of Parliament) devoted to oral questions, the minister indicated that his sector “plays a key role in linking the training sector with the economic one, by striving to ensure providing companies with the skilled workforce they need.”

He added that to achieve this, the sector “has adopted a reformist approach primarily based on the principle of partnership.”

In this regard, he noted the law 08-07 on the orientation law regarding vocational training and education, which stipulates the creation of a Partnership Council for vocational training and education. This council is made up of various representatives of relevant ministries, managers of public and private economic enterprises and other partners in the sector.”

The Partnership Council “contributes to the development and definition of the national policy for vocational training and education. It aims to promote its consistency, enhance efficiency, and align training programs with the demands of the socio-economic sector.”

It further plays a role in “formulating the national map of vocational training and education, while factoring in each province’s specificities,” and “boosting various fields and training methods,” the minister pointed out.
