77th World Health Assembly: Saihi holds talks with Cuban counterpart

ALGIERS- Health minister Abdelhak Saihi met Monday, on the sidelines of the seventy-seventh session of the World Health Assembly (WHA77) in Geneva, his Cuban counterpart, José Angel Portal Miranda, with whom he discuss coordination for the promotion of bilateral relations, the ministry said in a statement.

The two sides stressed the deepness of relations between the two countries, expressing "their satisfaction and their desire to extend cooperation between Algeria and Cuba to other fields."

The two ministers tackled the ways to enhance cooperation, mainly in "the implementation of the agreement and expanding the Cuban medical team in Algeria, especially in gynecology, radiology, intensive care and ophthalmology."

Saihi commended the level of bilateral relations, which witnessed a "qualitative leap" in the field of health, calling for further intensify and broaden relations.
