Algerian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission: Signing of 9 agreements, memorandums of understanding in several domains

ALGIERS-The 12^th Algerian-Russian Mixed Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, held on Thursday in Algiers, was crowned by the signing of nine (9) agreements, under the supervision of the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Youcef Cherfa, and the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Patrushev.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari, the Russian Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education, Konstantin Moguilevsky, the Algerian Ambassador to Russia, Boumediene Guennad, the Director General of Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Toufik Djouama, the Chargé d'Affaires at the Russian Embassy, Alexey Kotcheshkov, as well as officials from the two countries.

The ceremony began with the signing of the minutes of the 12^th Mixed Intergovernmental Commission by the commission presidents, namely Cherfa and Patrushev.

Baddari and Moguilevsky then signed an agreement for mutual recognition of studies, qualifications, diplomas, and university degrees, as well as a memorandum of understanding in the field of higher education and sciences.

For their part, the Director-General of the Algerian Institute of Standardization (IANOR), Djamal Hales, and his Russian counterpart, Director of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology, Anton Shalaev, signed a memorandum of understanding in standardization and conformity assessment between the two establishments.
