The minister, who visited many public and private pharmaceutical companies in Mostaganem and Oran, said such firms boost national capacity in pharmaceutical production.
Kouidri supervised the inauguration of a new plant for the production of nitrous oxide, a medical gas used in anaesthesia, a unit attached to the medical and industrial gas plant Ryanox, located in Bethioua.
He noted that the company, which started production in 2021, has expanded very rapidly and is exporting its products to several countries in Africa and Europe.
The director of the group Ryanox, Mohamed Amine Tazi, said the plant, with a production capacity of 250 kg per hour, is the second unit of the group.
The first has a capacity of 100 kg per hour.
He added that his firm exports to nine African and European countries and that is poised to extend exports to other countries in Europe and America.
