ISTANBUL, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Finance Minister and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs, and Acting Oil Minister Nora Al-Fassam met with her Egyptian, Tunisian and Turkish counterparts in Istanbul late Thursday.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 15th Turkish-Arab Economic Forum that brought together Arab and Turkish finance ministers in Istanbul on Thursday, they discussed ways of promoting joint cooperation and cementing fraternal ties.
The Kuwaiti minister underlined the significance of the pioneering role that countries should play in order to boost economic development, adding that removal of trade barriers would certainly lead to promoting interaction between Turkiye and the Arab world, with the possibility of accelerating Kuwaiti investments in Turkiye.
The one-day forum discussed a host of key economic and financial issues, including managing financial policy amid unstable economic conditions, and bolstering Turkish-Arab economic ties and others.
The event touched upon new opportunities in such emerging sectors as green energy, financial technology and logistic services. (end) to.mt
