LONDON, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi met with UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Hamish Falconer late Thursday to discuss enhancing bilateral ties.
The two sides also discussed several topics were discussed the latest developments in the negotiations for a free trade agreement between the GCC and the UK, as well as the recent developments in the Middle East, particularly the serious Israeli occupation violations against innocent civilians in Gaza, and the impact of this crisis on regional and global security and stability, said the GCC General Secretariat in a statement on Friday.
It added that both parties underscored the importance of Israel occupation facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza. It also noted that both sides affirmed the necessity of resolving this crisis in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and discussed ways to address regional challenges and enhance stability and security in the region.(end) nbs.ag
