KUWAIT, Oct 29 (KUNA) -- The success of the Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) has reflected Kuwait's leading status in energy fields and contribution to vital resources, said a Kuwait official on Tuesday.
Speaking at a panel discussion organized by the ministry, Director of Public Relations and Petroleum Media at the Ministry of Oil Sheikha Tamadhur Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed pride of KPI efforts as a pillar of Kuwait's oil and gas industry across the globe that enhance the country position.
The KPI managed to expand its services to include several international airports in a manner that confirms its unique ability to meet needs of global aviation market, she pointed out.
Meanwhile, the KPI officials reviewed visions and goals aiming to make it a global company in providing energy.
The 2024 KPI strategic goals seek to maintain continued retail purchase, expand markets of high growth and protect purchases.
On direct purchase, they said the wholesale purchase sector markets products like liquid gas and others is for European markets. About 100,000 barrels are sold on a daily basis to customers through this sector, they noted.
International diesel services include a network of supplying fuel to vehicles in more than 20 European countries, they stated.
Some KPI seniors, including Nawaf Al-Mudhian, Abdurrahman Al-Dossari and MEshari Al-Najdi, spoke during the panel.
The KPI is the arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation that focuses on refining and marketing fuel, lubricants and other various petroleum derivatives globally. (end)
