KUWAIT, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- The Arab Shooting Confederation, on Saturday, elected by acclamation Kuwaiti Duaij Al-Otaibi to be president for a four-year term.
The Confederation's General Assembly also chose its vice presidents and other executive office members at a meeting held in Kuwait Shooting Federation, its headquarters.
The newly elected president affirmed that he will continue to improve Arab shooting through organizing championships, and supporting the athletes.
Al-Otaibi stated that the Confederation is keen in developing cadres through periodic training sessions, adding that there's a work plan ensuring the success of Arab shooting in continental and international championships.
He hailed the support of Kuwait's leadership to the sport and the athletes, enabling them to take on regional and international roles. (end)
