RIYADH, Nov 9 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Al-Budaiwi strongly condemned on Saturday the terrorist attack on a train station in the city of Quetta, Pakistan, which resulted in the death and injury to many people.
In a statement, Al-Budaiwi affirmed the Council's support for Pakistan in the face of these terrorist acts, which aim to destabilize the country's security and stability. He also called on the international community to take a firm stand against terrorism.
He emphasized the GCC's firm position in rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism that target the lives of innocent people, destabilize security and stability, and contradict humanitarian values and principles.
Al-Budaiwi expressed his sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims of this terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery to all the injured. (end)
