PARIS, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- France on Wednesday condemned remarks declared by Israeli Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich about schemes to enforce the occupation "sovereignty over the West Bank." The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that France re-affirms its keenness on executing the settlement of establishing two states that can co-exist peacefully and this is the sole solution to reach a just and viable conciliation to the strife.
Smotrich, who belongs to the hardline camp of the occupation, had said that he believed that "it was high time to enforce the sovereignty" of the Israeli occupation on the West Bank, hoping that the US president-elect Donald Trump would support such an approach. (end) ma.rk
