GAZA, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- The medical authorities in Gaza said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation forces committed eight massacre in Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours, killing 81 and injuring 188 more Palestinians.
In a press release, the authorities said that number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews cannot reach them.
The occupation warplanes intensified bombing of the Gaza Strip since Wednesday evening after the announcement of reaching a ceasefire agreement that will begin next Sunday.
The agreement, announced from the Qatari capital (Doha), stipulates that Hamas will release 33 female, child and elderly prisoners in exchange for the occupation releasing a number of Palestinian prisoners.
The first phase will last for 42 days, during which the Israeli army withdrew to the east, away from residential areas, and increased the humanitarian response and rehabilitation of hospitals in the Gaza Strip.(end)
